At the beginning of December I was contacted by a local to use a branding iron on his wife’s bag. This was the first request, and while I hadn’t done it before, I figured it would be a great opportunity. After sharing that bag I was contacted by the Scossa Ranch to use their brand on a bag. Both bag branding experiences were different, as the first was done with a little fire in our driveway, and the second with an electric brand in a barn, but both accomplished a brand that represents family history and the Western way of life. This is something I will now offer as an option for locals. I will happily meet up with the cut out bag and scrap leather for practice pieces and help create a custom bag.
A few of you saw my tribute bag, where I did the carving of the horse to represent Cinco. I have had three requests since! Two being horse heads and one a carving of the logo of a local horse trainer. It takes time to come up with the design, and even more time to physically create and hand sew the custom patch on, but it is something I will offer my customers.
It’s one thing to have a leather bag made, but to have it customized takes it to a whole new level. While I am not taking custom orders in the sense of designing bags, I would love to work with you to add a brand or a carving. Please contact me for custom pricing.
