Welcome to Born Free Leather. We would like to introduce ourselves, our craft and our lifestyle with you.
Camron was born to ride bikes and can climb mountains and shred downhills like you wouldn’t believe. He is always pushing boundaries, trying to see what lies just ahead and what he’s capable of. He is an entrepreneur at heart, extremely creative and artistic, with keen business sense and one of the most logical humans I know.
I grew up playing soccer, loving animals, and dreaming of the day I would own a horse. I worked for 9 years on a 911 ambulance, and afterwards worked with horses, sheep and dogs in various scenarios. I loved trail running, but the mountain bike life has chosen me, and Camron and I enjoy finding new trails to explore and climb together.
I have owned my horse, a once wild Mustang from the high desert of Nevada, whom this little leather business is named after, for ten years. He is from the Fox Hog herd, and was adopted from the BLM on Cinco de Mayo, hence his name, Cinco. He is a dignified and wise old soul, with a Shamanistic energy, and together we have tried our hand at endurance rides, working cattle, trail rides, obstacle courses, and he has even done therapy work with soldiers with PTSD and children with Autism. While he has been domesticated, he will always be wild at heart, and that is something I will never take away from him.
Camron and I have two darling dogs, who will make an appearance now and again. Kenzie is a sassy little Scottish Terrier, with a true “die hard” and larger than life attitude. She loves meeting new people and animals, and is the most social out of our entire family. Gabby is a sweet and loving Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, bred to hunt upland game. She loves bike rides, hiking, trail running, swimming and, of course, birds. Her and I have started to navigate the upland hunting journey together, and it is a joy to see her natural ability and instincts come out.
We welcome you to follow along as we navigate our own little leather shop, making what resonates with us and our lifestyle.
